Dutch Association Korea

The Dutch Association Korea (DAK) is an officially registered Non Governmental Organization with registration number 107-80-10422.

The DAK is the mother organization for two other Dutch-oriented organizations, the Dutch Club Hendrick Hamel and the Dutch Business Council Korea

The purpose of the DAK is to provide a framework for regular meetings and activities and to encourage friendship amongst foreign residents in the Republic of Korea.

The Dutch Association Korea (DAK) was founded on November 12, 2010. The DAK’s first constitution was finalized in September 2012 and recently updated and officially adopted in the DAK meeting of September 7, 2023.

In 2024, the DAK board consists of the president, Jac Damen, the chairman of the DBCK, Andreas Varkevisser, and the chairman of the Dutch Hamel Club, Lubbert-Jan Bos. The current ambassador of the Netherlands in Korea is the honorary president of the DAK.

In 2024, the DAK board will mainly guide the re-establishment of the DBCK and the Hamel Club. It will strive to reinforce its relationship with the Netherlands embassy while coordinating the various activities of the Dutch organizations in Korea.

“Nederlanders in Korea” is de eerste website in Korea die zich uitsluitend richt op Nederlanders, Vlamingen en mensen met een andere nationaliteit die Nederlands spreken, Nederlands verstaan of een Nederlandse partner hebben, en die in Korea wonen, of van plan zijn hier naartoe te komen.

Deze site valt onder de auspicien van de “Dutch Club Hendrik Hamel”, de Nederlandse Vereniging in Korea opgericht in 1995 in samenwerking met de Nederlandse Ambassade in Seoul.

Dutch Business Council Korea

The Dutch Business Council Korea offers its members a platform for networking and social interaction.

In addition, the Board of DBCK will provide those who have inquiries about working and or living in Korea with contacts and introductions where possible and appropriate.

In particular young entrepreneurs, settlers, students or enthusiasts will be supported if and where possible.
